Before creating her prints of the banks of the seine, Balkanyi would make a number of drawings and watercolours as reference. Just occasionally, when one pleased her as here, she would annotate it. This delightful study of the Quai de l'Hotel de Ville has the church of Saint Gervais in the background. There is no record of final print. .
